Nothing like being joined by your closest friends and family members for booze and a whole hog to help celebrate your 40th birthday. This southern throwdown was held at John's newly built farm house in Lebanon, TN. Happy happy birthday John!! XO

This intimate backyard wedding was such a blast to photograph. Piper and Josh are two of the very best people I've ever had the pleasure of working with... so much so that we will now most definitely be lifelong friends. As down to earth as they both are, they still managed to keep this shindig classy (see fancy porta-john photo below). I love them.
Piper and Josh, here's to many years of laughing your asses off at each other. You are wonderful together and have the best support system in the friends and family around you. Treasure it all. You're very lucky to have found and kept one another. XO

Dallas is a total individual and I love her to bits. To celebrate her burgeoning adulthood we met up at the Wilson County Fairgrounds. With it's mix of art, history, and all things original, the location fit Dallas perfectly. The girl has an amazing spirit, an intoxicating laugh, and a kind heart. I can't wait to see how she decides to live her life. However she chooses to live it, she will most definitely do it laughing.
Dallas's parents: You guys are such a breath of fresh air. Dallas is a lucky girl!
I photographed Georgette and Charlie (and their two sweet dogs) on a perfect fall day in Pulaski, TN. These two hotties are getting married on the West Coast next year. Going back and forth with Georgette was super fun and a photographer's dream. She loves photography and had a clear vision of what she wanted out of our shoot. Charlie is a super nice, laid back guy. He was also totally into everything I was asking him to do (haha). Charlie has made a career of playing baseball, so naturally we had to take advantage of a local baseball field. For part two of our shoot, Charlie's wonderful parents let us use the beautiful land surrounding their rustic log cabin home. We roamed around the property for sweet spots and found them pretty easily. Ponds, barns, tractors, colorful forests......we found it all. This couple's vibe was as perfect as the scenery. Charlie and Georgette, it was so great meeting you and spending time with you. Looking forward to seeing those SoCal wedding photos! xoxo
I recently particpated in a bridal show hosted by the McConnell House, located in historic downtown Franklin. The McConnell House is a beautiful venue full of charm and history. It was the perfect place to host a bridal show. If you are unfamiliar with bridal shows, they are a great way for engaged couples to meet with multiple vendors in one location. Usually they are a bit overwhelming, chaotic, and oversaturated with vendors, but I enjoyed the intimacy of this bridal show. High quality vendors, a reasonable number of brides, and old fashioned cocktails made for a very enjoyable day. I photographed the fashion show and also had a little fun with the models afterwards. Below are a few highlights from the show. It was such a blast getting to know the other vendors and also the new brides. Here's to next year's wedding season!
A special thanks to Destinee Geasley, McConnell House's event coordinator, for organizing such a fantastic event!
